Sharon Obert first dreamed of writing a novel in fifth grade when she discovered the Trixie Belden mystery book series. At about the same time, Lost in Space and Star Trek were her favorite TV series. One day she would combine mystery and outer space into an adventure like no other. Her dream came true with Stay Calm and Dance On.
Sharon lives very near the fictious town of Collinsville, Wyoming, with her husband, Paul, and lots of fairies, gnomes, and trolls.
There’s enough stress in the world, so I just want to make people smile. And now the smiles are here! Stay Calm and Dance On is available on Amazon.com, Barnesandnoble.com, and other outlets. The paperback can also be ordered from local bookstore.
The story goes like this:
Fifty-something Nancy Leopold struggles with reality after she learns her mother is an alien. When Mom receives a mysterious summons to her home planet’s moon and doesn’t return at the expected time, Nancy and her friends—the Dancing Divas—rush to her rescue. Get there. Get Mom. Get out. How hard can it be?
With guidance from the Sassy Sistas, a trio of wacky, singing androids; Sir Charles, a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel; and his sidekick, a Sphynx cat named Sylvi-AW (as in awesome), the Dancing Divas will take you on an epic ride through the galaxy and back again (eh, maybe). They hope so, because there is still a charity fundraiser coming up. The Divas plan to burn up the stage tapping to Tina Turner’s “Proud Mary.” There’s no way they are missing out.
